‘Wait since early morning using a patrol boat’

PADANG BESAR : The patrol boat service at Tasik Timah Tasoh here is one of the most ‘busy’ bringing visitors to enjoy the beauty of the lake, especially during school holidays and weekends.

The beautiful panorama around Tasik Timah Tasoh which gives peace is one of the tourist attractions to visit the area when coming to Perlis.

In fact, the location with the backdrop of the Nakawan Range which is quite mesmerizing is also the focus of visitors taking photos.

Chairman of the Timah Tasoh Dam Recreation Association, Rosmadi Ismail said that the patrol boat service provided is one of the focus of tourists as they have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature here more closely.

“During this school holiday alone, it is estimated that more than 100 visitors will use the patrol boat service provided at Dataran Timah Tasoh.

“In fact, some tourists are willing to wait since early morning to use the service,” he said.

Commenting further, Rosmadi said that tourists who use the patrol boat service will be taken to several interesting locations to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bukit Cabang with the plants in the background
the lake in question such as buffalo kangkung, semalu water and pregnant yams.

He said, the plants in the lake which are yellowish in color are usually the focus of tourists to take pictures.

“Most tourists who use this patrol boat service will certainly not miss the opportunity to take pictures with the beautiful view of Bukit Cabang with the plants in the lake,” he said.

In the meantime, Rosmadi said, apart from local visitors, the charter boat service also attracted tourists from abroad such as Singapore, Thailand, China and Saudi Arabia.

He said, visitors who want to use the patrol boat service will be charged RM10 per person for a period of 30 minutes with a maximum of six people.

“In addition, this location is also a focus for anglers since there are many freshwater fish here such as toman, belida, sebarau, tilapia, lampam, haruan and many more,” he said.

He added that the fishing boat service offered is also affordable which is around RM60 for half a day.-MESSENGER
