There is still a small group of corrupt charities – Anwar

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed that there is still a small group in the enforcement force who are careless and involved in corrupt practices.

The Prime Minister said that he was informed that there are still some law enforcement officers who are still continuing the old scene by collecting rewards, putting additional costs and determining that there is a big prize.

“We will not tolerate any negligence that tries to destroy and destroy this country.

“A month has passed since I took over the leadership of Putrajaya, there have been changes but there is still a small group that continues the old scene.

“I ask for your full cooperation because believe me I will not tolerate any negligence,” he said when delivering the 2023 New Year’s Resolution at the Putra Mosque, here tonight.

He said, he requested the cooperation of civil servants and enforcement agencies to be more understanding and understanding, but at the same time the small group must be eliminated.

Anwar at the same time hoped that there would be some repentance for them to make changes, if not a firm action would be taken.

In the meantime, Anwar said, he also does not want political corruption in this country to be allowed to drag on and make politics to unload wealth.

According to him, he was offended by the allegation that the government today is involved in the issue of unloading such wealth.

“Our attitude is clear, our country is a country of law and the enforcement team is given the task of fully monitoring, including aspects of waste and management procedures.

“I also want to advise my friends who attack me every day and these are also former ministers and prime ministers who previously not only unloaded hundreds of millions but billions,” he said.

He said, he will ensure that the funds that were unloaded will be returned to the people and it is not a small amount.

He explained further, some advised him to ‘move on’ however, if there is a personal impact on him he can forgive and if it continues he will take action.

“The issue of fighting corruption, establishing good governance and focusing attention on subordinates is not something easy, but I have a team that is determined to make this change,” he said. – MESSENGER
