PORT DICKSON: Visitors have the opportunity to participate in interesting financial literacy game activities through the Smart Investor Trail, Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) Share Week 2022 which is taking place at Pantai Batu 1 Open Space, here, from November 24 to November 30.
In addition to the Smart Investor Trail for visitors aged 13 and over, parents can also bring their children to participate in the Small Investor Trail activities especially for children aged 12 and under.
One of the visitors who met, Damia Liyana Shamsol Hasni, 16, said that she had the opportunity to participate in the activity of putting together a puzzle (puzzle) at Jejak Pelabur Bijak and in order to win the game with a high score she had to solve it in a quick period.
“This indirectly taught me to make quick decisions in choosing investments or savings. If you want a bigger result, this investment decision needs to be made quickly and for me this activity can attract interest to save below,” he said.
For Nor Azli Mohd Nor, 49, who is a National Secondary School (SMK) teacher in Bandar Baru Serting, Jempol, he never missed participating in MSAM every year before the pandemic by bringing members and teachers for the PNB Smart Investment Club.
According to him, through MSAM, students and teachers have the opportunity to participate in various interactive activities on investment to attract the public’s interest in investment and to show the assets owned by PNB for the direction of investment made by the public.
“Like today, I had the opportunity to see the Merdeka 118 assets interactively. From the 116th floor, I could see for myself the interesting view of the city of Kuala Lumpur. In fact, by attending MSAM, we can also find out the best way to invest safely under PNB.
“Small or large investments under PNB are all proven to be safe and I also always encourage my students to create an Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) account at an early age with the guidance of their parents,” he said.
In the meantime, the supervisor of the Wise Investor Trail stall, Muhammad Amzar Ahmad Lofti, said that the game received a very encouraging response from visitors, especially students.
According to him, there are four rooms in which rooms one and two where visitors have the opportunity to generate income through the games provided and the next room which is the third and fourth rooms, are special for making investments.
“Through this game, we educate the public that a small risk will result in a small return, while, a large risk will result in a larger investment. This is the basis of investment science,” he said.
According to him, each can generate income and then it is revealed to double their respective money through investment.
“This is in line with PNB’s goal to invite young people to plan their finances from scratch in particular and to increase the financial literacy of the community in general,” he said.
Meanwhile, various attractive prizes such as motorcycles and electrical goods also await lucky visitors throughout the organization of MSAM 2022.
In conjunction with the MSAM 2022 opening ceremony held yesterday, a Yamaha MT-25 motorcycle belonged to a visitor, Mujahid Abdul Rahim while the Yamaha 135 LC Fi motorcycle was owned by Kamaruzaman Othman. – WEEKLY
