SEREMBAN: A Vietnamese woman was remanded for seven days starting today to assist in the investigation of a murder case involving a fruit seller in an apartment in Taman Bukit Delima here last night.

Seremban District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Nanda Maarof said the 33-year-old woman was remanded until November 28 to assist with the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

According to Nanda, the remand order was issued by the Magistrate, Naziah Mohd. Alias ​​in the Civil Magistrate’s Court here.

In the meantime, Nanda said, the motive behind the incident is believed to be jealousy, but the relationship between the victim, a 50-year-old local man and the Vietnamese woman involved, has not yet been confirmed.

“The incident is believed to have an element of jealousy. So far, there is no document that can confirm their relationship,” he said today.

Today the media reported that a man was found dead with a wound on his right rib believed to have been stabbed in an apartment house in Taman Bukit Delima here last night after a fight with a woman.

The body of the man in his 50s was found at about 9.30pm lying on his back in the living room of the house.
