PUTRAJAYA: Ministry of Education will ensure that the issue of student dropout is given due attention this year.
Its minister, Fadhlina Sidek said, the ministry is basically very concerned about education problems, especially the dropout issue among students, and is always looking for solutions towards zero dropouts.
He said, the ministry will ensure that all children in this country have the right to get equal education regardless of where they are.
“Therefore, the school’s monitoring and intervention on students who are at risk of dropping out will always be carried out so that they remain in school until the end of Form Five,” he said through the New Year 2023 Mandate which was shared on Facebook today.
At the same time, Fadhlina said, she will also ensure that the welfare of education citizens will be emphasized and become the focal point of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
“Every hard work you put into educating the children of the nation is a pearl that has no comparison.
“The year 2023 is the year to sketch a new face of Malaysian education and it will be done as a result of cooperation at the level of education experts.
“We will embrace the strength at the expert level by exploring every trail and pushing our children to the best level from an academic and personality point of view,” he said.
In the meantime, Fadhlina said, a harmonious ecosystem translated into the framework of happy students, happy teachers, secondary schools and a prosperous country is also in line with efforts to elevate human dignity regardless of race, religion and religious background.
“Students, teachers and educators who share this hope can certainly work on human values and schools can become a field free from negative symptoms such as sexual harassment, bullying, extremism and gangsterism,” he said.
He said that the effort to strengthen the education system and realize the culture of knowledge cannot be done casually, therefore every stakeholder needs to give feedback so that the solution can be accepted by the community. – MESSENGER
