KUALA LUMPUR: The meeting between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders at Hotel St. Regis here, finished about 5 o’clock this afternoon.
However, no developments were reported to the media personnel waiting at the hotel’s main gate.
It is understood that the leaders of the two coalitions left through the back door of the hotel after attending the meeting which lasted almost two hours.
Among the PN leaders said to be present are its Chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin; Deputy Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.
In addition, PN Secretary General, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and Datuk Dr. Radzi Jidin and Datuk Ronald Kiandee who are each the Vice President of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
Among the BN leaders who are understood to be present are its Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan and UMNO Vice President, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Next, the Deputy President of MIC, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan and the Deputy President of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup.
Earlier, media sources reported that the meeting was held to hear PN’s proposal regarding the formation of the government.
The move is believed to be because BN has already heard Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) proposal before. – MESSENGER
