SJKC Mun Choong received six new teachers after the Batang Kali landslide tragedy

PETALING JAYA: The Mun Choong National Chinese School (SJKC), near here received the presence of six new teachers who started serving on the first day of the school term today.

The teachers filled the void left by six teachers from the school who died in the landslide tragedy at the Father’s Organic Farm campsite, Jalan Batang Kali-Genting Highlands on 16 December.

This is after the Deputy Director of Education for the Learning Sector of the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Education Department, Abdul Aziz Md. Hashim told that all six replacements were new teachers and started the school session for 2023.

During the assembly session this morning, the representative of the school teacher asked all school members to meditate for a minute to pray for their friends who died and were affected in the landslide incident.

The teacher representative also reminded all students to report to the teacher on duty if their emotions are disturbed due to the unfortunate incident.

“If any of you are sad, you can immediately inform the teachers to get help,” he said. – MESSENGER
