Selangor recorded three cases of Covid-19, 3 imported cases


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded a decrease in positive Covid-19 cases by registering a total of 420 cases with three imported cases.

The number involved is lower compared to yesterday, which recorded 538 cases at once, surpassing 547 recovered cases.

Based on the website, https://data.moh.gov.my, today this new positive case is the result of a screening test of 20,253 tests and makes the accumulated number of cases in this country, as much as 5,027,097 cases.

As for new positive cases, Selangor is the only state with the highest number of cases, with 139 cases.

The states that recorded less than 100 cases are Kuala Lumpur (55), Penang (46), Melaka (31), Sarawak (26), Kedah (25), Perak (23), Sabah (14), Johor (13), Kelantan (13) and Negeri Sembilan (11).

In addition, four locations recorded single-digit cases, namely Pahang, eight cases; Putrajaya, eight cases; Terengganu, seven cases and Labuan, one case, while only Perlis did not record any cases.

The number of Covid-19 patients who were hospitalized was 189 people compared to yesterday, 226 people and the cases requiring treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) yesterday recorded 30 cases compared to yesterday’s total, 39 cases.

However, the number of Covid-19 patients who require ventilators recorded nine cases compared to yesterday’s total of 19 cases.

In addition, Malaysia also recorded four cases of death from Covid-19, compared to yesterday’s total, one case at a time, bringing the latest total to 36,857 cases.
