PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan (PH) is determined to deliver ‘voice of the opposition the strong’ in the two state assemblies were conquered by PAS, namely Kelantan and Terengganu in six state elections (PRN) after this.
PH Secretary General, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution said, this is if the coalition is unable to take over the leadership of the state government which has been administered by PAS for a long time.
“We are determined to send a strong opposition voice if we do not reach (the stage) of taking over the states of Kelantan and Terengganu.
“However, PH thinks that our chance to win the state election in Kedah. That is the main focus in the context of the state election,” he said when met by reporters after the PH Presidential Council meeting at the PKR headquarters here today.
In the meeting as well, Saifuddin said that the party’s top leadership has not yet reached the stage of discussing cooperation between PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) for the state election, even though the two have cooperated at the federal level.
“The meeting was mentioned only in general about the state election. It hasn’t gotten there yet because the election committee will make preparations first and then measure whether it is a reasonable step.
“The most important focus is to defend the three PH states, namely Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang. In general, PH’s main leadership has high confidence based on the current report,” he said. – MESSENGER
