Pandan Parliament: Turnout 60.27 percent

KUALA LUMPUR: Pandan Parliament recorded a turnout of 60.27 percent, as of 2pm.

Its Election Management Officer, Julaiha Jamaludin, said the number jumped compared to the 42.6 percent recorded at 12 noon yesterday.

According to him, monitoring found that the average voter opted out early to fulfill their responsibilities.

“Currently most channels one and two of the Pandan Parliament are empty.

“Since this afternoon, we have seen many first-time voters between the ages of 18 and 22 come to the polling centres,” he said when contacted by Utusan Malaysia a while ago.

Julaiha said that a total of 248 channels were provided in the Pandan Parliament involving 37 polling stations.

He said, out of that number, the voting center at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pandan Perdana recorded the highest number of voters through the provision of 21 channels.

According to him, the polling center also recorded a total of 15 positive voters for Covid-19, but the voting process went smoothly and under control.

“I call on the public not to delay or wait until late in the evening to fulfill their responsibilities,” he said.- MESSENGER
