KUALA TERENGGANU: Negotiations to form a new coalition government must be made officially and legally through the front door involving party leaders.
Former Member of Parliament for Kuala Nerus, Datuk Dr. Mohd. Khairuddin Aman Razali said, negotiations through the back door can no longer be done because it will repeat the tragedy and crisis that happened in 2021.
“Consultations must be done face to face, from the front door, between party to party and party leader to party leader.
“Don’t negotiate through the back door that breaks up your friends’ party because the tragedy of 2021 will repeat itself.
“There are ministerial clusters and party clusters. The government will not be stable. What the people want is a stable government.
“It must start from the first day of negotiations until the government is formed and then stabilize the government by not fighting (with each other) when in government,” he said in a statement today.
This morning, a few photos went viral involving Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament led by its President, Datuk Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi with Pakatan Harapan led by its President, Datuk Seri Dr Anwar Ibrahim at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Mohd Khairuddin also hopes that all political party leaders stop the existing crisis and instead focus on forming a stable government for the sake of national development.
“It is enough that we have a crisis because it causes the people and the country to bear the consequences,” he said. – MESSENGER
