PETALING JAYA: Maahad Integrasi Murtadha Dakwah Center (MADAD) is now making strides in the development of economic and investment knowledge after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Asri Ahmad Academy (AAA) recently.
The MoU involves the cooperation of tahfiz center and stock academy in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The Managing Director of MADAD, Yaakub Yusra, said that the cooperation was established in an effort to produce tahfiz students with economic literacy as well as opening up opportunities to broaden the knowledge of syariah-compliant investments.
In fact, he said, the effort was created to help the tahfiz center generate income through investment without expecting mere financial aid.
“We were able to generate more than RM3 million in income during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period last year.
“With this joint project with AAA, the profits and proceeds of the share investment are channeled to the purchase of RM1 million worth of land for the mosque site. We want to prove that we are not just on paper or theory. The amount of RM3 million has also been audited,” he said in a statement, recently.
Meanwhile, the founder of AAA, Datuk Mohd. Asri Ahmad said, the objective of the program is to indirectly train tahfiz students to be able to manage finances while generating income through stock investments.
“AAA is responsible and committed to imparting investment knowledge to these tahfiz students.
“The Technical Analysis Professional Certificate is a collaborative program between UTMSpace and AAA that was offered last year and successfully produced 42 professionals in the field of Technical Analysis. “This year, 32 people successfully completed the program where graduates have to complete the program for five months,” he said.
The certificate presentation ceremony was completed by UTMSpace Lifelong Learning Director, Dr. Zakaria Mohd. Yusof witnessed by Mohd. Asri and International Federation of Technical Analysis (IFTA) Board Member, Nik Ihsan Raja Abdullah. – MESSENGER
