ALOR SETAR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) is confident of winning up to 33 out of 36 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in this year’s State Election (PRN).
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor, who is also the Kedah PN Chairman, said that confidence was based on the support of the people who believe that the coalition is currently governing Kedah.
“The numbers we got in Kedah, (even if) Pakatan Harapan (PH) together with Barisan Nasional (BN), PN (will) win again.
“They can win three seats, namely Kota Darul Aman, Bakar Arang and Sidam according to the achievements of the last General Election (GE), that’s all,” he told reporters after the Assembly of the Menteri Besar’s Mandate to Civil Servants at Dewan Seri Mentaloon, here today. this.
Muhammad Sanusi, who is also the Director-General of Central Pas Elections, said that previously his party was ready to hold the PRN anytime after March this year.
Commenting further, he said, PN is also confident that victory will be in favor of the coalition due to the momentum of the people’s support which is currently increasing.
“PN’s momentum will increase. Day by day will always increase and will not fade. We do a good job, the people value it. During the last GE campaign talk they (PH said) can do this, they can do that. The government does not know what to do.
“That formula cannot be used, this formula cannot be used. People talk about chicken and eggs, he talks about pigs. The people are dizzy, they want to support a stable and clean government,” he said.
Touching on the collaboration between PH-BN that is expected to take place in the PRN, Muhammad Sanusi said, it is not something impossible considering the coalition in the current government.
“I already know that PH will cooperate with BN because they are now cooperating at the federal level, so in the state (there is a PRN) the same thing will happen,” he said. – MESSENGER
