Johari returned to seize the Titiwangsa seat

KUALA LUMPUR: The Titiwangsa Parliament is legally owned by the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani with a majority of 4,632 after winning 25,042 votes.

With that victory, he witnessed the defeat of the Pakatan Harapan candidate, Khalid Abdul Samad who only won 20,410 votes, while the Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate, Dr. Rosni Adam obtained 14,518 votes and Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan who represents the Pejuang Tanah Air party (Pejuang) obtained 888 votes.

The decision was announced by the Titiwangsa Parliamentary Elections Officer, Firdzaus Said at the Official Vote Tallying Center at the Aminuddin Baki National High School Hall.

Johari who had previously celebrated the victory with his supporters said that the victory was very meaningful following the cooperation of all parties over the past four years.

“First of all I want to say that this victory is for the people of Titiwangsa. This victory is quite impossible if not for all of you.

“Actually, this is the result of your work with me for four years and six months,” he said while speaking at the Titiwangsa BN Operations Center, Taman Maluri here tonight.

Johari had won this seat in GE13, but lost to Datuk Seri Rina Harun in GE14 after winning a majority of 4,139 votes and obtaining 23,840 votes. – MESSENGER
