‘If only there was one more day to hug Nyet’

KUALA LUMPUR: A day before leaving for his homeland, actor Raja Ilya, who lives in Australia, received sad news when his beloved cat named Nyet died.

The matter was shared by the 37-year-old actor on Instagram who admitted that he was too sad to lose his beloved cat.

“Only cat lovers really understand. For 13 years, every time with Nyet seemed not enough. Three years I waited to meet him because before I could only see him through video calls with family.

“However, the day before returning to Malaysia, it’s only one day… If only I had one more day to hug Nyet and say ‘I’m home’…,” said Ilya.

Ilya explained, the male cat he kept was very spoiled, besides always being calm and cheerful.

“I still remember, after being diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis or FIP, six years ago, it did not show any pain.

“Nyet is a very strong spirited cat. He gives me joy and happiness. If there was no pandemic, of course I wouldn’t have to say goodbye so quickly to Nyet,” he said.

The actress Soulmate Until Jannah and KL Vampire said that she couldn’t believe that her beloved cat was gone.

“I can’t imagine going home without looking at Nyet who has been waiting so faithfully at the door all this time. Destroy this feeling. Apparently, 2023 injected various emotions for me.

“Nyet knows I’m sad and she will definitely cry if she sees me crying,” he said.

Ilya returned home two days ago with her husband, Trent Garret and their eldest child, Talita Love Garret who is now six months old.

Ilya and Garret got married in Perth, Australia on December 23, 2018. After getting married, Ilya decided to settle in the country.
