SEREMBAN: A grocery wholesaler’s premises in Nilai 3, Nilai here was subject to action after it was found to have failed to maintain a stock book of controlled goods in the operation of the enforcement team of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) of Negeri Sembilan here today.
Negeri Sembilan KPDN Director, Muhammad Zahir Mazlan said, in the operation at 12.30 that afternoon, the premises were found to be offering and supplying controlled items such as cooking oil, sugar, and wheat flour to be distributed to retailers. .
“The results of further inspection found that the premises failed to maintain a stock book of controlled items, namely sugar, cooking oil and wheat flour.
“The licensed traders who deal with controlled goods are obliged to maintain a stock book of controlled goods perfectly and failure to do so may be subject to action in accordance with Regulation 13 (2) of the Supply Control Regulations 1974,” he said in a statement here today.
“According to Muhammad Zahir, in the raid, a total of 3,768 kilograms (kg) of cooking oil, 200 kg of wheat flour, 312 kg of sugar and related documents were seized for the purpose of investigation under the Supply Control Act 1961 with an estimated value of the seizure amounting to RM12,234.80 .
