Disaster Management and Operations Officer, Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM) Kelantan, Captain Mohd. Hanif Omar said, PPS Pusat Nasrullah Tarbiah Pohon Buluh, Pasir Mas was completely closed at 5.30pm this afternoon.

According to him, he expressed his gratitude to all members of the state APM and other rescue agencies who have worked hard to help move flood victims to PPS.

“I also express my gratitude to all the rescue agencies that cooperated to clean the areas affected by the flood.

“Alhamdulillah, all the main rivers in the state have returned to normal levels,” he said when contacted by Utusan Malaysia here a while ago.

Utusan Online reported this morning that 31 flood victims from the Pasir Mas colony are still taking shelter in two PPS, namely the Banggol Chicha National School (SK) and the Nasrullah Pohon Buluh Education Center.

Throughout the flood that hit the state starting on December 19, Gua Musang became the only colony that was free from the disaster.

A total of 31,000 victims from the colonies of Tumpat, Kota Bharu, Tanah Merah, Pasir Puteh, Machang, Kuala Krai, Jeli and Bachok have taken refuge in PPS throughout the floods that hit the state.-MESSENGER
