KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional (BN) Sabah will impose disciplinary action against five members of the party’s State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) who took actions against the party’s decision.
Its chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said, the decision to attract support for the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor was the party’s decision, therefore, any BN-UMNO assemblyman who did not support the action would face strict action.
“Although we are aware that there are five BN-UMNO assemblymen who do not support our actions, but for us it doesn’t matter, the party’s decision is final.
“We will take whatever measures and decisive action including disciplinary action against any BN assemblyman who treacherously does not support the party’s decision,” he said in a press conference tonight.
So far, 13 out of 18 BN-UMNO assemblymen support the party’s action to attract support for the Sabah Chief Minister.
The act of attracting support from Hajiji was done following the memorandum of understanding between BN and the Sabah National Alliance (PN) was canceled after Hajiji violated the agreement signed after the Sabah State Election (PRN) 2020.
According to Bung Moktar, after Hajiji resigned as Head of the Leadership Body of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Sabah, he lost his legitimacy as Chief Minister.
Since yesterday there have been rumors that Sabah BN will form a government together with Parti Warisan (Warisan) to form a new government. – MESSENGER
