CYBERJAYA: Barisan Nasional (BN) established a team of relief machinery to coordinate efforts to systematically distribute aid to flood victims in Sepang.
The party’s candidate for the parliamentary seat in question, Anuar Basiran, said that BN was the most forward in helping the flood victims in the entire district and that they received non-stop calls from the community asking for help as early as 3 in the morning.
The formation of the special machinery squad, Anuar said, they are placed in all PPS in addition to being ready to monitor the development of floods in designated areas.
He said, if the water is found not to recede on the voting day, the machinery will help the victims to be moved directly to the polling center smoothly.
“I myself ‘went down to the field’ to meet the flood victims at all five Temporary Transfer Centers (PPS) several times throughout the day to continue to be kind to them,” he said when met after a friendly survey session in Cyberjaya late last night.
Commenting further, he informed that as of 11 o’clock last night, the number of those who were in the five PPS in the district was only 778 people from 211 families.
Thus, he hoped that the disaster would recover in the near future because based on reports, the flood was temporary and not caused by the North East monsoon.
At the same time, he assured that BN will always ensure the welfare and safety of the victims is a priority even though the General Election (GE) is over because the party in question does not just show up to ‘work’ to help the people during the GE season, but is always dedicated all the time after voting ends later.
“We have a very good track record and are not like opposing parties that only come to show their faces for a moment in the PPS, even outside the GE, BN is the fastest to treat the victims,” he said, who will be competing with the candidates of Perikatan Nasional, Pakatan Harapan, Parti Pejuang Tanah Air. , Parti Rakyat Malaysia and two other Independent candidates. – MESSENGER
