Batam Parliament voting suspended


PUTRAJAYA : The voting process in the P.220 Baram Parliamentary Electoral Division, Sarawak was suspended due to bad weather conditions on the day of voting for the 15th General Election (GE15) today.

The chairman of the Election Commission (SPR), Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh in a statement informed that it involved 11 polling stations in the relevant Parliamentary Elections Division due to officers unable to reach their duty stations either by air, land or water.

Therefore, he said, the new date for voting for polling centers and polling stations (channels) will be announced later after it is safe for officials and voters to reach the polling center to vote.

The list of Voting Centers and Polling Places (Channels) involved are Long Naah National School, Long Luteng National School, RH TK Matthew Belulok Lalo Kpg. Lepo Gah, Long Sait National School, Long Tungan National School and Long Moh National School.

Other than that are Long Mekabar National School, Long Jekitan National School, Long Lamei National School, Lio Mato National School and Long Banga National School. – MESSENGER
