Arwah Azhari told acting to be sincere – Sara Ali

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress, Sara Ali, 32, admits that the passing of the director, the late Azhari Zain, gave her a sense of loss as one of the deceased’s protégés in the field of acting.

According to Sara, despite never receiving formal education from the deceased, the late Azhari imparted a lot of knowledge when they worked together at the filming location.

“His passing yesterday made me feel lost. Not only me, but many other industry players also feel it.

“Many who work in this field are his protégés because the deceased is very kind. His passing shocked us.

“There is one message from the spirit that is still ringing until now. Arwah said, if you want to act, you have to be sincere,” he said when met at the Viu Upfront 2023 press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), here.

Sara said that the spirit’s message made her think a lot, even wondering the meaning behind the advice.

“I wonder, what is meant by sincerity in acting? Is it through feeling, action or maybe the way the dialogue is thrown? It makes me think to this day.

“I will remember the deceased as a director who never hesitated to share knowledge. He is always seen as a father figure for us his students,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sara said, she has not yet had the opportunity to visit her comrade, Nad Zainal, who is receiving treatment at the hospital.

The actor of the movie Air Force The Movie Selagi Bernyawa said, he was surprised when he got the news that Nad was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to a bacterial infection and bleeding lungs.

“We contact each other when we are not busy with work. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Nad, although I’ve collaborated on several manuscripts.

“As a friend, I am worried about the situation. All we can do is pray for Nad.

“I hope his family and children are also strong. God willing, I will find an opportunity to visit him at the hospital in the near future,” he said.
