SHAH ALAM: Deputy Chief of Selangor Police, Datuk S. Sasikala Devi has been appointed Acting Chief of Selangor Police with effect from today, replacing Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed who will be compulsorily retired from next January 2.
The handover ceremony was held at the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) and was witnessed by the Bukit Aman Department of Internal Security and Public Order (KDNKA) Director, Datuk Seri Hazani Ghazali.
At the ceremony, Arjunaidi in his speech expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) who gave him the opportunity to hold various positions including the Selangor Police Chief.
“I hope that all police officers and members serve with sincerity and dedication so that the goals outlined by the PDRM leadership can be achieved.
“We also need to be more mature in the way we work, think and supervise. I would like to thank the Selangor Deputy Chief of Police, Head of Department, District Police Chief and all the Selangor contingent who gave me and my wife strong support,” he said.
Arjunaidi before retiring contributed for 35 years in the PDRM and had served in seven Police Contingents namely Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Bukit Aman and Selangor. – MESSENGER
